Central themes in my work include identity work (racial trauma and stress), first-generation issues, and reconnection to self.

I am Postpartum Support International trained, and I have focused my training on perinatal mental health and the treatment of pregnant and postpartum mothers and parents . I spent a lot of my training focusing on early childhood mental health and love to work with parents on their relationships with their children and connection with them. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in Nonprofit Studies at North Carolina State University. I was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City and currently live in North Carolina and come from a working class background and was raised by a single immigrant mother.

During my spare time, I explore ancestral forms of healing, take care of my many plants, DJ, and create playlists for healing and booklists to further the healing and learning of those I serve.

Modalities + Specialties

  • Brainspotting (BSP)

Brainspotting is a relational, brain-body-based therapy that can help integrate unprocessed trauma stuck in the body. If you choose, we can incorporate brainspotting into your therapeutic experience. To learn more about BSP, you can do so here.

  • Holistic Therapy

This approach is focused on integrating various forms of healing in order to address the WHOLE person. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this method seeks to uncover and work with underlying emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects that may impact an individual's well-being. In Holistic Therapy, the therapist collaborates with clients to explore a range of factors such as mental patterns, physical health, lifestyle, and personal beliefs, creating a tailored approach to growth and healing.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing Therapy)

EMDR involves talking and bilateral stimulation — typically eye movements or tapping. EMDR aims to reduce distress and negative beliefs associated with past overwhelming or traumatic experiences. This short video explains how EMDR can be used to help adults.

  • Somatic Based Therapy

Somatic-based therapy focuses on increasing physical awareness, helping to identify and build the ability to look for resourcing within and helping to develop the ability to engage the breath and incorporate movement when available or possible.

I use my somatic-based training as a 200-hour trained yoga teacher to help with body-based stressors, moving trauma out of the body through trauma-informed yoga and focusing on the mind-body connection.
